All of our earrings are made from 925 sterling silver, plated with 18k gold and then a special e-coating is applied to protect against tarnish.

They are lead and nickel free and hypoallergic so perfect for sensitive ears.

On average, gold plated jewellery can last about 24 months before the gold plating begins to wear down. However, the length of time can be much longer with proper care.

Water generally does not damage sterling silver. *But* water does cause silver to oxidize (darken) more quickly, and what type of water and the chemicals in it has an impact on how much it will cause your silver change colour. Think shampoo suds, chlorine, perfume etc...

Here’s a list of tips on how to care for your Sunday Moon jewellery. 
  1. We do not advise wearing your Sunday Moon jewellery in the pool, sauna, steam room or jacuzzi too often as excessive exposure to chemicals may tarnish or cause wear to your item.
  2. The best way to store your jewellery is to place it in your tarnish-free Sunday Moon jewellery box, which is free from chemicals and will protect your item from the elements.
